HOPEFUL CHAPTERS
"Hopeful Chapters" is a two-part, volunteer-driven literacy program designed to promote reading and literacy skills among pediatric patients, their siblings, and family members at children's hospitals, particularly during difficult times. While the program is open to all patients, it primarily focuses on those undergoing cancer treatment.

Volunteers, including military personnel, local school officials, and community members, commit to visiting the hospital once or twice a month to read to the children. Literacy skills are further reinforced through tutorial services offered to the patients. By bringing together volunteers, sponsors, and healthcare providers, the program aims to make a lasting difference in children's lives through the power of literacy and community support.
